Open, turned up, fastened
The jacket’s collar can be worn three ways. Open, it’s a jacket for the city. Turned up, it covers the back of the neck. Fastened all the way up with a button hidden beneath the collar, it becomes something else entirely – with no flap or added tab.
The rest follows the same thinking: two pleats at the back for freedom of movement, topstitching in size 30 thread that reveals the construction rather than hiding it, and Le Tanneur leather where the jacket takes the most wear.

Wear, and keep
The tote bag is made in Italy, the jacket in Portugal. We name the countries rather than writing ‘Europe’, which is mostly a way of avoiding the question.
The moleskin develops a patina, as does the full-grain leather. Neither goes in the washing machine: brush the fabric, dry-clean if needed, and use a colourless cream on the leather.
